At the head of the nation's military is the high general, reporting directly to the king (and his advisors). Such an honor is not easily obtained, and the high general is respected for that.
This position is up for contestation. Anyone interested in playing it should send a PM to Punki for more information.

Below the high general are the regular generals. With authority over the rest of the military, they have a hand in everything, from strategic planning to overseeing the city guard.
These positions are first come, first serve.

strategists
The masterminds of the Elistaran military, strategists are responsible for calculating and planning every mission and operation. Though not necessarily fighters, their intellects are generally rather impressive.

spies
Gathering foreign intelligence, pulling strings and generally being sneaky, spies are Elistar's hidden eyes and ears, whether it be on missions abroad, keeping an eye on Elistar's allies and enemies alike, or within the country's own borders, infiltrating the criminals of Thourne or monitoring the aristocrats of Kingshill.

elite infantry
The best combatants Elistar has to offer, the elite infantry carry out special missions, sometimes alone or sometimes with others. They are the most loyal troops the military has, reporting directly to the generals.
