dragon knights
Sworn to an oath of "courage, honor, and unfailing willpower," these fully-fledged Knights of the Order are well-trained in the art of combat, once taken on as Apprentice Knights, usually at a young age, and have proven themselves to be capable warriors who do not often back from a fight, nor who abandon those in need, even if they are not innocent. The only indicator a Dragon Knight carries of their belonging to the Order is what is known as the Dragon King's seal; a small ivory medallion hand-carved from the bone of a great beast with a dragon's head in the center and the Order's oath written in the old dragonkin tongue around its edges.

apprentice knights
Taken on as apprentice to a Dragon Knight, Apprentice Knights have not yet sworn their oath, and are still being trained in the ways of the Order. Apprentice Knights may be taken on from any background or race, and are hand-selected by their mentors. When their mentor decides that they are ready, an Apprentice Knight may take their oath, and become fully-fledged Dragon Knights with the right to carve and carry the Dragon King's seal.
